Inclined belt conveyor
What is inclined belt conveyor
Inclined belt conveyors include climbing and descending conveyors, which are used on ascending or descending routes to convey parcels from one height to another. It is generally used in conjunction with horizontal belt conveyors and curved belt machines in courier sorting and automated plants.
Inclined belt conveyor types
Incline straight belt conveyor
Inclined belt conveyor with baffle
Incline swan-neck belt conveyor
Movable inclined belt conveyor
Stainless steel belt conveyor

Conventional inclined belt conveyors
The structure is the same as that of a flat belt conveyor because the body of the machine is inclined, the legs of the belt conveyor can be made into an adjustable angle structure. The inclined belt conveyor is generally docked with the flat belt conveyor, and when docked there is generally a height drop, and a nylon transition plate is added in the middle to make the transition smooth.
Inclined belt conveyor with gooseneck
The front section of the belt conveyor is inclined and after reaching a certain height, the inclination is converted to horizontal by means of a gooseneck, achieving a combination of inclined and horizontal belt conveyor, this transition is smooth and makes the conveying achieve the desired effect.
Inclined belt conveyor design
The belt of inclined belt conveyors (especially climbing conveyors) must be of the non-slip type (no electrostatic adsorption, no bag catching) to ensure that parcels, pallets, etc. do not slide during transport. The belt must be of a non-slip type (no static adsorption, no packet entrapment) to ensure that parcels, pallets, etc. do not slide when being conveyed.
Inclined conveyors should have an anti-reversal mechanism to avoid reversal when carrying parcels to a stop, with the supplier’s own choice of reversible self-locking worm gear motors or motors with braking devices.
Inclined conveyors should reduce the angle of inclination as much as possible, the maximum inclination of non-tracking conveyors in normal temperature sites should not be greater than 15°. The maximum angle of inclination for non-tracking conveyors in normal temperature sites should not be greater than 15°, and not more than 17° in special locations; the angle of inclined belt conveyors in cold sites should not be greater than 14°. The angle of inclined belts on cold sites should not be greater than 14°. The maximum incline of a conveyor with a tracking function shall not be greater than 12°.
The length of the climbing belt conveyor segments should in principle not exceed 12,000 mm to avoid the problem of insufficient slip drive.
Inclined belt conveyor applications
Widely used in logistics conveying and sorting, express e-commerce industry, white goods industry, home building materials industry, shoes and garments industry, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, auto parts industry, intelligent factories, automated storage factories, traditional cement industry, coal industry, etc.
Qingdao Palet machinery can design, customize and manufacture the inclined belt conveyors and supply the inclined conveyor parts and sections according to the customer’s requirements.
